Slack Integration

You can set up an integration instance in your Integrations Admin screen to send event notifications to the channel or user of your choice in Slack (learn more about the Integrations Admin screen here). You should include the following:

Configuration

  • Integration Name
  • Status
  • URL: this is the URL of a Slack webhook you’ve set up outside of Reach. More information here.
  • Slack Channel: be sure to include the ‘#’.
  • Custom Icon URL: You can include a path to an icon you’d like to include in the integration. By default this is the Reach Logo.
  • Custom User Name: You can give your Reach integration a name. By default this is “Reach Bot”.

Features

The current feature set only includes Slack Alerts for New Responses, which sends an alert when a new response is saved for your campaign.

How to find your Slack URL

Please note that the URL we need in Reach is not the same as your Slack workspace URL (mycampaign.slack.com). Instead, we need a webhook URL from a custom Slack “Incoming Webhooks” integration. You can setup that integration in your Slack workspace here and then find the URL that Slack generates that will look something like:

https://hooks.slack.com/services/TBQFF61239/ABCMZJMK3/hXtaLGxyrnwqB5A0AZ0fIoqt
